Ust-Luga complex (Novatek), on the Gulf of Finland, Leningrad Oblast, is a major gas-condensate processing and seaborne export facility at ~7 Mt/yr. It processes natural gas condensate from Novatek West Siberian fields and ships refined products (primarily naphtha and LPG) to European markets via the Baltic.
The NOVATEK Ust-Luga complex was struck, causing a major fire. Pipelines between the pumping station and storage tanks, a primary gas condensate processing unit and two hydrocracking columns were damaged. Subsequent assessment confirmed a complete shutdown of the complex.
A fire broke out at the complex following the strike. Preliminary assessments indicate that two processing units were hit.
